The location of this hostel is very convenient, with everything you need within walking distance. the center of town, where all the bars are, is just a short walk away. there is a bus stop right in front of the hostel, making transportation easy.
Some guests mentioned that the bathrooms can be moldy and wet at times, which may not be ideal for everyone.

I absolutely loved my stay here at this place! The location couldn't have been more convenient, with a bus stop right in front if I wanted to explore nearby areas like Tauranga or Papamoa. The service was top-notch, with tours and ticket assistance available to help me plan my adventures. The room amenities were fantastic, especially the heating that kept me warm and cozy during my stay. And the terrace was a lovely spot to relax and take in the surroundings. The shared kitchen was spacious and well-equipped, making it easy for me to prepare my own meals. The carpeted floors added a touch of luxury, and the dining area was a great place to enjoy my meals. The staff were friendly and always willing to lend a helping hand. The beach access was a bonus, and the BBQ facilities were perfect for a fun outdoor gathering. I had a fantastic time here and would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
This is the perfect place for families as well, so if you're traveling with your loved ones, I would definitely recommend staying here!

I had a truly enjoyable stay at Pacific Coast Lodge. The location was perfect, with easy parking available. The staff, especially Alina, were incredibly helpful and friendly. The double room we stayed in was clean and comfortable, with towels provided. The bathroom next door was also clean and well-maintained. The kitchen area was spacious and well-equipped, with plenty of refrigerators and even free bicycles and surfboards available for use. The hostel had a fun and vibrant atmosphere, with music playing all day. The beach was just a short walk away, and there was a supermarket and other amenities nearby. Despite the minor drawback of it getting a bit hot in the room during the summer, I would highly recommend Pacific Coast Lodge for a great stay in Mount Maunganui. I had a fantastic experience.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The location was excellent - just a short walk from the beach and the Naked Bus stop. The room was also very clean and quiet, which made it a comfortable place to spend our afternoons. Additionally, the hotel provided a useful map of the area, highlighting all the local attractions and activities to do. Finally, the staff were all very friendly and helpful during our stay.
It was all superb.

The complementary towels and toiletries were appreciated. the location close to the beach and restaurants was spot on. It was great to have access to a kitchen to cook our own meals.
The room was uncomfortably hot, and the fan provided did not do much to cool it down. the noise from other guests was extremely disruptive, and the bathroom was not cleaned often enough.

During our Christmas stay, we loved the fact that the hotel had a friendly and helpful staff. They were always ready to assist us with any requests or questions we had. the location of the hotel was perfect. It was within walking distance of all the major attractions and shops, making it convenient for us to explore the area. Lastly, we really enjoyed the free activities offered by the hotel. From surfboard hire to free movies, there was always something fun to do without having to spend extra money.
One thing we disliked about our stay was the noise level at night. There were times when other guests were quite loud, making it difficult for us to get a good night's sleep.

The rooms were relatively small and cramped, making it difficult to move around with all the belongings.

Good location. Close to the beach and bars. The hostel offers free bikes and surfboards which was cool. Kitchen was well equipped and clean.
Rooms were expensive and not worth it. Bathrooms are not well distributed and get dirty quickly.
